ABOUT US

Our principal developer is a US Air Force veteran.  He served at Edwards AFB and Otis AFB with a remote, isolated deployment to American Samoa.  He made it onto the Staff Sergeant promotion list in just over 3 years.

He has 20 years experience working on Government projects for Sylvania and TRW where he developed technical training programs, taught computer controled system maintenance, wrote technical manuals and managed Integrated Logistics Support programs.

He has been creating business software solutions since 1978; starting with progammable calculators, progressing thru dedicated client-server applications to web-hosted Cloud applications.  His first solution was for a local check cashing company, enabling them to balance their entire 33 branch network to the penny every day. $38,000 in embezzlements were discovered by this soluton with $31,000 recovered.

1970-1990 Government Project Negotiations

As part of being an Assistant Program Manager for Logistics Support, our principal developer was required to estimate, propose and negotiate Government projects worth 10's of million of dollars. To support this effort he developed software tools (first on programmable calculators and later on personal computers) to quickly estimate complex, mil-spec technical training programs and technical manual development.

1988-2008 Client-Server Applications Development

After leaving Government service, our principal developer created software database applications using a 4GL rapid application development (RAD) called Clarion to create client-server applications that were hosted on the client's own network servers. Applications for water treatment engineering, check cashing, bad check tracking, hotel beverage management, environmental engineering and other industries were created this way.

2005-today Cloud-Based Applications Development

As technology advanced, and as Cloud data storage became safer, we transitioned into Cloud hosting for our applications. We have converted many previous client-server applications into advanced Cloud versions plus created new applications for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, restoration, fleet maintenance, financial management and more.

DATA SECURITY

S W Business Solutions develops software in-house in the United States. On occasion, we use third-party developers for specific technology but ensure that no "black-boxes" are used that might compromise data security and privacy.

Our client's projects (and data) are never exposed to third-party developers without explicit approval from the client.  Elements of databases can be encrypted if desired.  Websites are hosted at secure facilities within the continental United States.

Our clients own their own domain names and hosting accounts.  S W Business Solutions acts on behalf of the client.
